Davis is situated less than 30 minutes from Sacramento International Airport (SMF) (and about an hour and a half from San Francisco and Oakland Airports).
To get from Sacramento Airport to U.C. Davis, you can travel by bus, taxi, or rental car.Have taxi drop you off at the conference hotel or at the North Gate entrance if going directly to the conference room.

Getting to Davis by car
To conference hotel (Best Western University Lodge 123 B street) :Take I-80. The exit for the conference hotel is Richards Boulevard (the downtown Davis exit); left at First Street; then three blocks and right on B Street. Go one more block.
There is free parking at the hoel. It is five minutes walk to the conference site.
Directly to conference site:
If driving directly to the conference from San Francisco take I-80 east to Davis; a mile or two before Davis take Highway 113 north exit towards Woodland; in Davis from 113 North take the Russell Boulevard exit east (right turn); go through several traffic lights to the UCD North Gate entrance at College Park/Howard Way (the traffic light before this one is a T-intersection on Oak Avenue). Turn right on Howard Way and park in the North Gate parking structure a couple of hundred yards down on the left.
Parking costs $7 per day on Friday - vending machines take cash or credit/debit card. It's not clear whether or not parking will be free on Saturday.
Memorial Union (the conference site) is 300 yards to the south.
Getting to Davis by train
The Capitol Corridor Amtrak runs regularly from the Bay Area. See http://www.capitolcorridor.org/included/docs/schedules/train_schedules.pdfFrom San Francisco it can be easiest to take BART to Richmond and change to the Amtrak train at Richmond.
The Davis Amtrak station is near Second and G Streets. It is a quarter mile or so (six blocks) to the Conference Hotel at Second and B Street.
