Conference in Memory of Martine Quinzii

Department of Economics, University of California, Davis, June 1 - 2, 2019

Andrews Conference Room, 2203 Social Sciences and Humanities Building, 2nd floor

This conference is in remembrance of our colleague Martine Quinzii, who passed away on May 25th, 2018 in Perigueux, France.

Martine Quinzii was a Professor in the Economics Department at UC Davis between 1991 and 2016, and Professor Emerita since 2016. She served as Chair of the department from 1995 to 1999, and again from 2006 to 2007. She was a fellow of the Econometric Society since 2000, and of the Society for the Advancement of Economic Theory since 2011. She served as Associate Editor for several journals (Annals of Finance, Econometrica, Economic Theory, Journal of Mathematical Economics, and Mathematical Social Sciences). Before joining UC Davis, Martine had taught mathematics and economics at Marseille-Luminy, Ecole Polytechnique, Aix-Marseille, Paris II, and Southern California.

Marine’s seminal contributions to the theory of general equilibrium, and to its interactions with macroeconomic theory and finance, are known for the creativity, rigor and elegance they display.
